All of the harl has been removed. The windows have been taking away for repair/renewal.

This phase of the Kirk development has been possible due to grant aid from:

  • Coastal Communities Fund
  • Scottish Government Islands Infrastructure Fund
  • Historic Environment Scotland
  • Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme
  • Shetland Community Benefit Fund
  • Viking Energy
  • Shetland Charitable Trust is providing financial assistance to facilitate the project

Scaffolding has been erected at the Kirk and the roof slates have been stripped with temporary roof protection in place. 16th March 2023
